The Delta Amateur Radio Emergency Services Net will shift operations
to the N5LRL repeater 147.285+ 107.2hz, starting Sunday, 6 January
2013. The regular net time is 8:00pm local time.
The new format will start the net on the repeater frequency.
Following roll call and a brief training topic period, the net will make
an announced move to 147.285 SIMPLEX. A piece of test traffic will be
originated and relayed to all stations via simplex. Once the test
traffic has been relayed and confirmed, the net will return to repeater
operations for final comments, then conclude.
Test traffic messages will likely take the form of a trivia
question. Net stations can provide the answer at the following week's
net.
We anticipate that it will take the month of January for stations to adjust to the new format.
Any licensed amateur station is invited to participate.
