As of 5:00pm, here are the storm totals for CoCoRaHS gauge MS-SF-1, located on the north side of Indianola:
0.12" measured at 7:00am Wednesday morning
3.23" measured at 7:00am Thursday morning
1.98" measured at 5:00pm Thursday evening
Storm Total: 5.33"
December rainfall total was 6.91". The rain event for Jan 8-10, 2013, as of this writing, equals 77% of the total rainfall recorded for the month of December, 2013. Total rainfall for January, including today's interim measurement, stands at 7.38", or 6.8% more than all of December.
Additional rainfall is expected for this coming weekend, but it should not be as significant as the mid-week totals we've seen.
Note: The 5:00pm measurement was taken for informational purposes only. Although no more significant rainfall is expected tonight, a final measurement for Thursday 1/10/2013 will be taken at 7:00am Friday morning.
